Bloody Mary - Anno Zero Although they have been active since the dawn of the last decade, the Milanese took quite some time to build credibility at a national level and even to get noticed abroad. Now, curiously, the new album is titled 'Anno Zero': a deep line is drawn between it and the past, and the band puts on the market ten tracks capable of competing with any gothic rock release on the planet.
The path to maturity is completed with a third studio work offering an intelligent mix of the founding elements of 'Blood' n 'Roll' and the evolution of the following 'Party Music For Graveyards', with a fresh production and substantial arrangements. Nothing is left to chance, and Aldrebran's voice is given much more room, so that its sensuality can truly accompany the listener on this journey into the unknown.
'I Keep Pretending' and 'Chase The Nowhere' are the passages most tied to Bloody Mary's history, while elsewhere a passion for electronics emerges that could bring surprises in the future. The pressing rhythms of 'Concrete Jungles', the ballad 'So Far Away' and the closing 'I Am Gonna Miss You' stand out as other key moments of an album that grows with every listen and confirms remarkable expressive qualities.
