BLOODY MARY "ANNO ZERO"
Valery Records is proud to announce the release of Bloody Mary's eagerly awaited third album, "Anno Zero". Five years after "Party Music for Graveyards", the Milanese gothic metal band releases its third full length. "Anno Zero" is the third act of Bloody Mary's tetralogy, following Blood'n'Roll (2005) and Party Music for Graveyards (2010).
"Anno Zero" is set in a warped, uchronic pseudo-present, where the last convulsive days before the nuclear apocalypse are played out in a dieselpunk atmosphere.
We find ourselves in a surreal continuation of a twentieth century in which the Berlin Wall, far from falling, seems to have multiplied, in a paranoid continuation of the Cold War and of the deliriums of twentieth-century ideologies.
Over dreamlike atmospheres, like the barking of zombies from the past, lie the bellicose declarations of the leaders of the Short Century.
The band will accompany the record with a narrative guide to the conceptual universe of "Anno Zero": a manifesto of the ghostly survival of the deliriums, dreams and nightmares of a twentieth century set aside too hastily and (badly) digested.
The work will be presented live with a promotional tour in Italy and abroad; the first dates announced:

Since 2000 Bloody Mary have represented gothic rock in Italy. Their first EPs, Bloody Zero Live, Red and Rosemadder, became genuine rarities, cult objects among fans of the genre. In 2005 they signed with the English label SixSixSix Records, with which they recorded their debut album Blood'n'Roll, a true manifesto of the genre. In 2010 came Party Music for Graveyards on the Italian label Valery Records, the band's second record, followed by many live shows in Italy and abroad, which met a great response from audiences and a surprising welcome from the European specialist press, the German in particular, which gave the band ample space (Zillo, Sonic Seducer and Orkus).
The album will be released on 24 March 2014 in both physical and digital format on Valery Records and will be distributed in Italian shops by Frontiers/Audioglobe.
