Live Report @ Blood'N'Roll 20th Anniversary Live Show Party on Heavy Metal Webzine by Donato Tripoli

by Donato Tripoli at Blood'N'Roll 20th Anniversary Live Show Party, 17 October 2025

And then, after a very quick changeover, the lights went down again for the start of the celebratory set by Bloody Mary, one of the icons of the dark gothic genre, yet at the same time damnably romantic, rock, rough and swaggering. Tonight's show has a very special value, as it is dedicated to celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Blood'n' Roll, a true masterpiece released in the year of Our Lord 2025 [sic]. And indeed the show opens in the grandest style with the explosive notes of "Icy Blue", "Drops", "It's Too Late" and "Cease To burn", "Little Sister" and "The 2nd Chance", which also saw the original bass player Larouge join as a guest. Besides celebrating the aforementioned debut CD, the band does not shy away from a real excursus through its discography, performing, in a manner nothing short of masterly, "Better Down" and "Somebody To Love" from the second masterly masterpiece, 2010's "Party Music For Graveyards".

But the real frenzy began when the notes of the deadly, murderous Ramones cover "Pet Sematary" started, which set off an endless chorus, and during the masterly performance of "Face To Face", in which almost everyone present was invited by Aldebran to come up on stage, under obligation to "sing".

To conclude, all that remains is for me to give Bloody Mary my best wishes for the "twentieth anniversary" of their first masterpiece and to hope that the wait for their next record and their next live show will be very short.
