When I entered the castle courtyard around midday, it was already bustling. The Italian gothic rock greats BLOODY MARY were in the middle of their soundcheck and already hinted at the force of nature that would hit us in the evening… Why are soundchecks always so short.. 😉 ?
I went to the merchandise stand, where I was straight away handed BLOODY MARY's goods for sale. T-shirts, CDs and even adorable thongs! When I anxiously asked, I learned to my relief that I did not have to sell them wearing the band thong 😉 ! (…)
(…) Next up were my Italian favourites: BLOODY MARY. The dashing lads from Milan play gothic rock of the finest kind and at GOTHIC CASTLE presented their current album "Anno Zero" to a German audience for the first time. Luckily I wasn't needed behind the stand just then, so I could enjoy the show right in front of the stage. And I still wonder to this day how so many people could stay sitting on the benches during this band… Singer Aldebran and the band simply gave it everything!
After this concert too there was a busy autograph session at our stand, and time to take a personal photo with the lads. My colleague Mona and I naturally couldn't resist the temptation either..
