Anno Zero

On 15 March the band played at Jürgen's "Seek & Destroy" party at the Art Kitchen in Milan.

On 12 April the band celebrated the first anniversary of the Masquerade Night at the Theatre Club in Rozzano, where it had played three times the year before. The rest of the spring went into the new album.

On 25 August the site reached its fifteenth version.

In September the band released "Concrete Jungle", the first promotional video of the coming album, "Anno Zero".

The year closed with a Halloween party at the TNT Club in Milan (31 October). The new album was almost ready.

In February 2014 Valery Records announced "Anno Zero", Bloody Mary's third album and the third act of what the band called its tetralogy, after "Blood'N'Roll" and "Party Music for Graveyards"; Rock Rebel Magazine and Artists and Bands carried the news, and on 19 February Ultrasonica announced the band's night at El Barrio in Turin.

Valery Records announced it early in the month — TrueMetal on 4 March, SpazioRock the next day, with the first dates of the tour. "Anno Zero" came out on 24 March, distributed in Italy by Frontiers/Audioglobe. The setting had moved again: a uchronic, distorted present in a Dieselpunk atmosphere, the last convulsive days before a nuclear apocalypse, in a twentieth century where the Berlin Wall never fell but seemed to multiply — "a manifesto of the phantasmal survival of the ravings, dreams and nightmares of a twentieth century shelved too hastily and (badly) digested". Ten songs, from "I Keep Pretending" and "Crawling" to "Judith" and "Concrete Jungle", with LaMountain and Dave on guitars.

Metallus gave it 8 out of 10, and Rock Rebel Magazine wrote that Aldebran's voice was "an added value to be reckoned with". The tour began at once: the Warriors Night at the Black Hole in Milan (21 March) and the Dracma Club's 2nd Goth/EBM Reunion at El Barrio in Turin, with Vendemmian and Favole Nere (29 March).

On 5 April the Goth'n'Roll Night, announced at the Revolver in San Donà di Piave, was held at the Work in Progress near Padua, presented by Venice Vampire and Patavium Obscura, with Der Himmel Über Berlin. On 25 April came 25 Harprile at the Tambourine in Seregno, with Nemesi, Unsteadycore and Dirty Melody. The reviews were many and divided: Metal Head gave 7.5, and Ver Sacrum wrote about the album too.

On 1 May Aldebran gave a video interview to Goth Rock & Love Metal, and on 29 May the band was on Radio Lombardia. Metallized gave the album 70, and Rockambula reviewed it.

On 5 June the band played the Legend Club in Milan with Neracruz, free entry, where a live "It's Too Late" was filmed, and on 12 June Suffisso Core reviewed the album.

On 18 July the band played Rock Inn Somma, at the sports ground of Somma Lombardo, with Dustineyes, Ancient Dome, Tramortiria and Locus Animae — a live "Frozen" survives from it. In Your Eyes reviewed the album, and on 22 July the site reached its sixteenth version, built on UIkit.

On 30 August Bloody Mary played Gothic Castle, the first edition of a gothic festival at the castle of Satzvey near Cologne, with Stoneman, Schwarzer Engel and Asrai, in front of about four hundred people — the first time "Anno Zero" was presented to a German audience. Through the month the reviews ran warm and cold: Heavy Metal Webzine gave 8 out of 10, Metal Italia 6.5, Rock Garage 5, and Jürgen talked to Suffisso Core.

In September HardSounds gave the album 70 — "if you find yourself humming at least three songs from the record without realising it, then it means: mission accomplished" — and Onda Alternativa 5. "Singer Aldebran and the band simply gave it everything!", wrote Funkelglanz of Gothic Castle.

On 4 October the site reached its seventeenth version, again a single page. After Gothic Castle no other concert is documented for 2014.

On 7 March the band played the Midian Live in Cremona, where a live "Crawling" was filmed.

On 17 April the band played the Bloody Night 2015 at the Black Hole in Milan, with Golden Apes and Spiral 69 — the last time the line-up of "Anno Zero" would share a stage for ten years.

In the autumn the band changed shape. By 13 October Jürgen, Dave and Stranger had left, and Aldebran and LaMountain went on with a temporary line-up of four new musicians: Patrick on guitar, Munich on bass, Max on drums and Mauro on keyboard — the first time keyboards had a place of their own in Bloody Mary.

With the temporary line-up the band opened for Christian Death at the Black Hole in Milan on 6 November.

The temporary line-up played its second and last concert on 2 April 2016, at the Cafè Liber in Turin's Aurora district. Soon after, Aldebran felt that it was not really Bloody Mary, and in April the four newcomers left.

In the summer Aldebran put the band on pause, a time of reflection. LaMountain, who had been in the band since its first month in 2000, left on 6 July. For the rest of the year Bloody Mary did not play.

At the start of 2017 Bloody Mary came back to life. Jürgen, Dave and Stranger returned, and the band began work on the fourth chapter of what it had called its tetralogy — the album that would become "Aftermath". It was a year spent writing and recording rather than on stage.

On 5 October 2018 a second guitarist joined Bloody Mary: Kes, who would stay with the band for its American adventure. With Aldebran, Dave, Stranger and Jürgen he prepared the concerts of the following spring.

The spring of 2019 took Bloody Mary to the United States. The band rehearsed in April, and on 12 April played "Waiting for USA" at the Legend Club in Milan with False Memories — a test concert before the journey.

On 18 May came "Bloody goes to Hollywood": a concert at the Bar Sinister in Hollywood, Los Angeles, with Heathen Apostles, with Kes as second guitarist. It was the band's first concert in America and, for Kes, the last with Bloody Mary.

On Friday 17 October 2025 Bloody Mary returned to the stage to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of "Blood'N'Roll", with a live show party at the Rock'n'Roll in Rho, opened by Numa Echos. For the occasion LaMountain rejoined the band, next to Aldebran, Dave, Stranger and Jürgen, and the original bass player, LaRouge, came up as a guest for the last song — which the band played with two basses. The set opened with "Icy Blue", "Drops" and "It's Too Late", ran through "Cease to Burn", "Little Sister" and "The 2nd Chance" and two songs from "Party Music for Graveyards", and turned into a frenzy with "Pet Sematary" and its endless chorus, before the closing "Face to Face", with almost the whole audience invited on stage by Aldebran to sing.

On 30 December Heavy Metal Webzine's report of the night wished the band that "the wait for their next record and their next live show will be very short".

The band is on pause, but it exists: the line-up of today is Aldebran, LaMountain, Dave, Stranger and Jürgen.
